CHELSEA — The dark car slowly idling behind Daniel Flores Martinez and his son as they walked the family dog down the street before church on Mother’s Day 2025 didn’t worry him at first.
He noticed when it dropped back and another car took its place, but the pair kept walking, returned home and loaded the rest of the family into their own car for the 11:30 a.m. service at Tabernacle Gospel Church.
It wasn’t until their car was suddenly boxed in by unmarked vehicles and five masked men with guns jumped out that Flores Martinez realized something was wrong…
