BOSTON, March 11, 2026 – A Dorchester man charged with the 2011 shooting that killed one teen and left another with life-long injuries was sentenced today after pleading guilty to manslaughter after having his original conviction overturned last year, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.
NYASANI WATT, 32, was charged with the fatal daytime shooting of 16-year-old Jaivon Blake and the non-fatal shooting of 14-year-old Kimoni Elliott on Geneva Avenue on September 25, 2011.
Watt, who was 17 at the time of the shooting, was found guilty of first-degree murder in December 2013 and received a life sentence with the possibility of parole after 15 years…
