Roger Berkowitz of Legal Sea Foods fame is expanding his popular online market of premium seafood offerings, Roger’s Fish Co., to include a new fast-casual restaurant counterpart. Roger’s Fish Co. has officially dropped anchor at Boston Logan International Airport, within Terminal A’s satellite area, bringing hungry travelers an array of seafood staples like fish and chips, the brand’s signature chowder, fresh lobster rolls, and more.
“Roger Berkowitz is a longtime partner here at Boston Logan, and we are excited to welcome him and Roger’s Fish Co.,” said Rich Davey, CEO of Massport in a statement. “Seafood is an iconic part of Boston’s culture, and passengers will now have another great option to experience fresh, fantastic seafood while visiting the airport.”
The famed James Beard award winner’s new 700-square foot outpost is Berkowitz’s version of a modern-day fish shack with counter service and seating in the terminal’s annex, a streamlined menu of first-class seafood favorites as well as beers, ciders and even frozen cocktails. Menu highlights include Roger’s Double Clam Chowder with clams as the starring ingredient and a thinner, more flavorful stock; Roger’s F’n Chips with fried haddock, Roger’s Kickin’ Tartar Sauce and fries; Roger’s Lobster BLT with lobster salad, sliced avocado, bacon and lettuce on a baguette; and Crab Cakes, available as a sandwich or as an entrée, chock full of lump crab meat morsels that are seasoned to perfection…
