Packaging manufacturer to lay off 91, close Mass. facility

A global company that manufactures paper packaging products is preparing to close one of its facilities in Massachusetts and lay off 91 people.

Smurfit Westrock will permanently close its factory at 365 Audubon Road, Wakefield starting on May 18, according to a Massachusetts Workers Adjustment Retraining Notice filed with the state on March 18.
