JAFFREY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A Massachusetts man was assisted off Mount Monadnock Sunday evening after being injured during a fall along one of the mountain’s trails.
According to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, conservation officers were alerted just after 4:15 p.m. Sunday to a hiker who had been hurt on the Dublin Trail. The individual, identified as 26-year-old Trevor Powell of Brighton, Massachusetts, had been hiking with a companion when he slipped on icy rocks, suffering injuries to his head and shoulder.
Powell’s hiking partner called for help, prompting a coordinated response involving conservation officers, park staff from the New Hampshire Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, and volunteers with the Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team…
