There will be “NO KINGS” peaceful protests on Saturday, March 28 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Peabody. One is on the Route 114 overpass by McDonald’s. The other is at Peabody Square at 1 Lowell St.
The “NO KINGS” movement is a fundamental defense of American democracy against the rise of a fascist presidency. We protest the Trump regime because it constantly places personal power above the Constitution and the people by:
A) Authoritarian Overreach:
- Politicalization of military.
- Purging non-partisan civil servants.
- Systematically dismantling checks and balances designed to prevent tyranny.
- DOJ weaponization of justice:
- Political retribution; and
- Shielding trump regime from accountability.
- Waging war without congressional approval.
- Bullying and threatening to get their way.
- Pushing to take over Greenland, Canada, and others.
B) Human rights and immigration violations:
- Attempting to deprive many of voting rights.
- Escalating ICE terror and brutality.
- Violating human dignity:
- Inhumane treatment, death, and rape in detention camps;
- Deportations without basic rights; and
- Imprisonment and tragic deaths of American citizens’.
C). Economic inequality:
- Elite receive massive tax breaks.
- Average family squeezed by increasing costs of living:
- Increasing gas prices due to illegal Iranian war;
- Tariffs; and
- Elimination of healthcare subsidies.
D) Assault on Truth:
- Attempts to silence American people:
- Brand dissent as treason; and
- Brand free press the enemy for telling the truth.
- Lack transparency/Epstein files and others.
- Corrupt regime, lining own pockets.
- Constant lies.
We march to demand a return to the rule of law, protection of civil liberties, and to end the treatment of the oval office like a throne…
