Firefighters extinguished a small fire underneath the Bedford Fire Department’s ladder truck on March 18 at 1:32 p.m. while on Wildwood Drive for a medical emergency.
According to police reports and Fire Chief James Bailey, firefighters were working on the medical call. A police officer, present outside and on scene, noticed the fire and alerted the firefighters. Firefighters acted promptly. The ladder truck was shut off and the fire was doused with a fire extinguisher.
