A Boston police officer is facing criminal charges after fellow officers found a loaded gun loose in the front seat of his vehicle. The officers went to his home last December following an argument between him and his girlfriend.
Officer Sean Cullen, 45, is charged with a felony count of improper storage of a large capacity firearm and a misdemeanor count of improper storage of a firearm, court records show. Cullen was arraigned on the charges in Boston Municipal Court in West Roxbury earlier this month and pleaded not guilty. A judge released him without setting bail.
The state’s police oversight body suspended Cullen’s certification to work in law enforcement because he is charged with a felony. All officers charged with felonies have their certifications suspended…
