Woman gets 15-20 years for deadly Boston Common stabbing stemming from social media feud

It was an emotional day inside a packed Suffolk County courtroom on Wednesday as Alyssa Partsch — accused in a deadly stabbing on Boston Common two years ago — changed her plea and learned her fate.

Judge Mary Ames set the tone early, calling it “a hard day for everyone here,” while urging dignity, respect, and warning that there would be no outbursts as the highly-charged hearing got underway.

Partsch, 33, of Dorchester, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter, accepting responsibility and giving up her right to trial as part of a joint recommendation for 15-20 years in state prison. Her trial had been scheduled to begin later this month…
