At 8:08 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement until 11 a.m. for Franklin, Worcester, Middlesex, Essex, Hampshire, Hampden, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.
“Areas of fog continue early this morning, with visibilities in the fog ranging between one and one- quarter mile. Improvement is expected to be slow and will continue to impact travelers through late this morning. Use low-beam headlights and keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you in foggy areas,” states the weather service.
