BOSTON (WWLP) – A Boston man faces charges after he was allegedly found with a loaded firearm in his waistband during an arrest on March 17 in Brookline.
The Department of Justice states the the arrest occurred when 21-year-old Hakeem Cooper was taken into custody on a state warrant. Authorities allegedly discovered a Taurus PT111 Millenium G2 9mm pistol, loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition and one round in the chamber, in his pants. Cooper is prohibited from possessing ammunition due to prior state court convictions.
Cooper appeared in U.S. District Court in Boston for an initial appearance following his arrest. His prior convictions in Suffolk Superior Court include trafficking controlled substances and possession to distribute a class B controlled substance…
