Amtrak resumes normal operations to and from Boston

BOSTON — Amtrak has resumed normal service to and from Boston following issues with a highway bridge that disrupted operations on Friday evening and Saturday.

As of 9 a.m. ET, Amtrak’s website shows all scheduled southbound trains from set for on-time departures. All northbound trains from New Haven are also shown as operating, but three are reporting delays.

All trains to and from Boston were canceled for about a 12-hour period beginning about 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, when debris from a highway onramp blocked tracks in Cranston, R.I.
