Flight diverted to Boston Logan Airport to remove ‘unruly’ passenger

A United Airlines flight was diverted to Boston Logan Airport Monday morning to allow authorities to remove an “unruly” passenger, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Massport dispatched troopers to board the flight shortly after 9:30 a.m. The passenger was restrained on the flight, but was “cooperative” by the time troopers arrived. Paramedics also responded to evaluate the passenger, but the passenger declined medical attention.

Once the passenger had been removed, U.S. Customs officials took the passenger into custody. The passenger was later transported to Massachusetts General Hospital…
