STOWE, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – On Monday, a nine-year-old boy died in Melrose, Massachusetts in an “unbelievable accident” after a tree fell while he was playing tag with his sister on a school playground.
The Green Mountain Academy in Stowe says that Zakaria Bel Qaid was one of their most talented young skiers, who won multiple awards at the USASA national championships just a month ago.
In a post on Instagram, Zakaria’s family said that skiing was “absolutely everything to him.”
