A Boston-based restaurant group that owns The Beth in Hingham and is in the process of purchasing T.K.O. Malley’s in Scituate Harbor owes the federal government nearly $400,000 in unpaid taxes, records show.
A federal tax lien notice dated April 21 was filed with the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds against the Briar Group LLC, stating it owes $393,146.49 in unpaid taxes, including interest and penalties. The taxes are due from the period ending Dec. 31, 2022.
The Briar Group, owned by the O’Connor family, is based at 150 Canal St. in Boston and has 10 bars and restaurants, including The Harp and Ned Devine’s in Boston and The Beth Kitchen & Bar in Hingham…
