TEWKSBURY — Special Town Meeting was held on Wednesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. at Tewksbury Memorial High School with 92 voters in attendance.
Article 1 was adopted to transfer funds from accounts with a projected surplus to funds with a projected deficit in the current budget year. $280,000 was moved from DPW and town hall salaries due to vacancies to cover police overtime and new school hire healthcare.
Article 2 proposed to take $55,000 from the town’s health budget to fund salary adjustments for the police chief, fire chief, DPW director, building commissioner, and finance director, as well as adjusting the town’s salary schedule to regrade several positions and increase salaries…
