Leftapalooza, an annual tribute band competition, will return to Left Hand Brewing (1245 Boston Avenue) on Saturday, June 27 for its 14th year. Seven Colorado-based bands will perform at the brewery and compete for a grand prize: $1,000 cash and the opportunity to headline at next year’s Leftapalooza. The bands will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m., and the winning band (selected by the Leftapalooza audience) will be announced at 9 p.m.
“We work with local bands, musicians, and entertainers whenever possible, creating another way to support the people who make this community special,” said Taylor StClair, communications specialist at Left Hand Brewing.
Tickets for the event are $20, and children 12 years old or younger get in free. Community members are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to sit on during the festival and outside food is allowed, although food trucks will be on site throughout the event. Each attendee will be given a token when they arrive at the venue — when they have seen all of the bands, they are encouraged to drop their token into the bucket of their favorite band.
