Radio can be a very frustrating career; it’s hard to get into, and it’s likely that you’ll be fired at least once in that career. Four on-air personalities in Denver (one was on a Fort Collins station as well) were let go, all at once, as part of a very large purge.
What On-Air Personalities Were Fired in Denver?
iHeart Media fired numerous on-air personalities across the nation in late June of 2026, in, what The Hollywood Reporter reports, a restructuring plan that could save the company $50 million, annually. KBCO’s Bret Saunders, who’d been with the station for more than 28 years, was the most notable.
Also let go were Denise Plante from 106.7 The Bull, 630 KHOW AM lost Ryan Schuiling, and Gregg Stone “Uncle Nasty” at 103.5 The Fox was let go. Stone was also heard in the Fort Collins area, doing the morning show on 92.9 The Bear.
I was fired from my first radio job, after just a few years. It wasn’t fun, and I’d only been doing it briefly, as compared to these Denver personalities who’d been at it for a good stretch of time…
