Man charged with murder following reported vehicle crash in Erie

DENVER (KDVR) — A 29-year-old man faces a first-degree murder charge stemming from a response to an incident early on June 21.

According to the Weld County District Attorney’s Office, the Erie Police Department was sent to a reported vehicle crash around 1 a.m. on June 21 near the intersection of Weld County Roads 6 and 7 in Erie.

Police at the scene found a dead 28-year-old woman outside the vehicle; however, they determined that the amount of blood and its location were inconsistent with a crash or a vehicle ejection.
