Construction delay in the Rock Creek Parkway project in Superior has resulted in a more-extensive closure, and access to the road could be blocked for nearly a month.
In its Monday night meeting, the Superior Town Council heard an update from town staff regarding the central Superior road project, which is one part of the multiple construction improvements made to the parkway in recent years. Christine Katz, the town’s civil engineer, said in the presentation that the project is about 24 days behind schedule.
The current phase of the project involves Rock Creek Parkway from about South Indiana Street to Enterprise Street, including the closure of the roundabout connecting the parkway to South 88th Street.
