Longmont Public Safety is warning residents about scammers who are falsely claiming to collect overdue fines or solicit donations over the phone.
According to the agency, multiple residents have reported receiving calls from people using the names and phone numbers of Longmont Public Safety employees to make the requests appear legitimate.
