Metro district town hall sheds light on corporate abuses

More than 60 local citizens attended a town hall meeting at the Berthoud Recreation Center on Friday, Aug. 14, to learn about metropolitan district structures, financing, developers, ethical concerns and how residents can encourage transparency.

“How many of you are shocked by what we learned tonight?” Mo Dower asked following a presentation and question-and-answer session led by Charles Wolfersberger, a chartered accountant for Wolfersberger LLC, and Brian Matise, a retired attorney representing Coloradans for Metro District Reform.
