DENVER (KDVR) — The Westminster Police Department said Westminster High School is safe after searching the school for a threat on Tuesday morning, but now the department is investigating who made the unfounded report.
Westminster police responded to the high school at 10:30 a.m. because of a report of a threat. Police posted an update at 11:14 a.m. on social media, saying that officers searched the grounds and determined that all students, staff and faculty are safe. Westminster police did not specify what the threat was or how they received it.

The secure status has been lifted. Officers will patrol the campus for the rest of the day “as a precaution.”
