Platte River Power Authority and its partner ContourGlobal cut the ribbon on the largest solar array in Northern Colorado on Sept. 30.
The Black Hollow Sun project, located north of Severance, provides power to PRPA and its four owner cities — Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont and Estes Park — and their utilities’ 73,000 homes and businesses.
The ribbon cutting marks the completion of Phase 2 of the project. Phase 1 went online a year ago, and PRPA says Phase 2 was completed four months early, coming online in early September…
