“He may not be an All-Star, but to me, he’s a superstar” – Michael Malone backs Jamal Murray despite missing 2024 All-Star Game

As the NBA officially unveiled the full list of the 2024 NBA All-Star Game participants, many fans instantly reacted to some of the stars not making it to the cut for Indianapolis. As such, one notable player that got counted out is Denver Nuggets sensation Jamal Murray .

While he is disappointed by the All-Star exclusion, head coach Michael Malone remains convinced that Jamal is a “superstar, ” a bona fide clutch performer, and a big-time postseason player that no other stars can match when it matters the most.

“I feel for Jamal. In a weird way, he may not be an All-Star, but to me, he’s a superstar,” he said . “He’s a world champion, and he’s done things in the playoffs that a lot of All-Stars have never, and will never, do.”

Not an All-Star, but still a legit playoff performer

After delivering one of the most memorable individual playoff runs in recent years, which massively aided the Denver Nuggets’ championship rally, the majority have truly expected that this 2023-24 season will be the year that Murray’s stardom will officially get honored.
