1 stabbed on Perry Street in Denver, RTD W line station partially closed

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Denver police are investigating a stabbing in the West Colfax neighborhood.

The Denver Police Department tweeted about the incident just after 5 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers were called to the 1100 block of North Perry Street.

The area is next to the Perry RTD Station, which was closed for several hours due to police activity.

Eastbound RTD service resumed around 5:45 a.m., however, it took a few more hours for westbound service to resume.

At around 10:50 a.m., RTD confirmed that the Perry Station was reopened and all W Line trains were operating on a normal schedule.

When SkyFOX flew over the scene at 6 a.m. there was no visible police activity in the area.

Denver police said one victim was taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries wasn’t known.
