BOULDER, Colo. (KDVR) — A decades-old jewelry store on Boulder’s Pearl Street was targeted Tuesday by thieves who made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
The Little Jewel has been open for 45 years,
“Well, we’ve been a staple here on Pearl Street since they put the bricks down,” Dane Brown said.
Brown inherited the store from his mother.

“We’ve got a good clientele base that their kids come and then their kids come, so we’ve been through three generations of families,” Brown said.
“Maybe a window broken, but that’s about it,” Brown said of the extent of crime that’s happened at The Little Jewel over the years.
A man walked in talking on his cell phone and looking at engagement rings, Brown said.
“All of a sudden three other guys show up,” Brown said, and they took more than $100,000 worth of jewelry.
One employee was working at the time.
“The one guy grasped her around her mouth and that was it, and then they all came in,” Brown said.
