Defendant in Lafayette drive-by shooting pleads not guilty, set for trial

A man suspected of being involved in a September drive-by shooting in Lafayette that left one man paralyzed for life pleaded not guilty Friday and was set for trial in July. Nathen Rodriguez, 20, pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted first-degree homicide, first-degree assault, felony menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
