Deion Sanders Announces Monumental Change to Colorado Spring Game Format

Deion Sanders continues to push the boundaries of college football tradition.

Instead of a typical spring game in Boulder, Coach Prime is going all out with a festival-like format to kickoff the Buffaloes’ 2024 season.

During a recent appearance on YoungMoneyRadio with Lil Wayne, Sanders announced his unprecedented plans for Colorado’s upcoming spring game.

“We’re doing a whole Prime Weekend. We’re having a fashion show Thursday, something for the boosters on Friday, the game on Saturday and an after party. Maybe at halftime of the game or after the game, on the rooftop, we’re gonna have somebody [perform],” Sanders said.

Sanders brought a ridiculous amount of energy and excitement to Boulder in his first season as head coach of the Buffaloes. Now heading into Year 2, it’s clear the Pro Football Hall of Famer is looking to bring it yet again.

In 2023, Colorado’s spring game brought 47,277 fans into the stadium. With this year’s promised festivities, that number could be even higher this spring.
