Anthony Edwards is taking the sports world by storm since his 43-point performance vs. Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.
The former Georgia Bulldog and No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft is quickly becoming one of the best basketball players on the planet. His 43 points in Game 1 of the Timberwolves-Nuggets series helped Minnesota steal a game on the road with a final score of 106-99.
Edwards is now drawing comparisons to NBA legends like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Those comparisons are premature. Edwards is only 22 years old. But it’s easy to see why fans are comparing him to those guys.

Edwards is even gaining attention on social media from those in the football world. Ex-NFL star Antonio Brown compared Edwards to Jordan following his brilliant Game 1 performance.
