DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Douglas County SWAT Team is serving a warrant in a Highlands Ranch neighborhood.
Just after 8 a.m. on Thursday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said there was a heavy law enforcement presence on Timbervale Trail in Highlands Ranch. The area is in the Westridge neighborhood.
Deputies said the investigation is contained to one house.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office told FOX31 they are conducting a warrant, and the surrounding community is safe. However, deputies are asking everyone to avoid the area until the investigation is finished.
FOX31 has a crew on scene where multiple armed SWAT officers were throwing smoke bombs and attempting to gain entrance into the house.
It is unclear how many suspects are inside the home and if they are armed. The sheriff’s office said they will release more information as it becomes available.
