Steelers Scouting Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders & Travis Hunter! More – Or Less – To The Story?

SEPT 15 SCOUTING It makes for a sexy story angle: The Pittsburgh Steelers are in Boulder this weekend to watch Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter!

And it is true. A Steelers scout was indeed present for Colorado’s 28-9 win over Colorado State. But is there “more to the story”? Nah. Actually, there is “less to the story.”

For one thing, NFL scouts attending college games is an every-Saturday thing. Every team. Every game. And for another – and this doesn’t in any way preclude Sanders or Hunter from somehow becoming Steelers come the 2025 NFL Draft – but it would make a lot of sense for a lot of Pittsburgh eyeballs to be on the Colorado rivalry game … considering the entire staff was on Saturday in a hotel just down the highway from Boulder as the Steelers play at the Broncos today.

SEPT 10 RUST? The Falcons lost in Kirk Cousins’ Atlanta debut, 18-10 loss at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, because of what they are calling QB “rust.” And indeed, Cousins played his first game since suffering a torn Achilles last season with the Minnesota Vikings.
