Colorado’s food scene is on fire — and the nation is noticing.
The latest: Three local restaurants made the New York Times’ annual list of the 50 best in America , out Wednesday.
Why it matters: Colorado can’t stop, won’t stop when it comes to collecting culinary accolades .
Zoom in: Two of the standout spots are right here in Denver.
- James Beard finalist Yuan Wonton , a popular dumpling food truck turned brick-and-mortar spot in North Park Hill, was praised for its “variety” and “expertly constructed” wontons.
- Sap Sua , a Vietnamese gem on East Colfax, wowed with its “wholly original” menu. The James Beard semifinalist was also recently named one of Bon Appétit’s best new restaurants of 2024 .
Zoom out: Meander Eatery — a New American, farm-to-table restaurant in Pagosa Springs — was recognized for its “unapologetically eclectic” menu.
