The 2024 college football season is still young, but we’re starting to see some stratification among the best players in the sport.
Quarterbacks Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart have put up eye-popping numbers each week and have Miami and Ole Miss, respectively, in strong College Football Playoff position. Colorado’s incredible duo of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders pulled the Buffaloes to a come-from-behind win, with Sanders completing a game-tying Hail Mary and Hunter forcing a fumble to seal the win in overtime. Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty stayed on pace to eclipse 2,000 yards.
Coming off a weekend that featured a number of byes for top programs, Week 5 brings us one of the best games of the regular season, as Jalen Milroe and Alabama host Carson Beck and Georgia. This clash of unbeatens should go a long way toward deciding the SEC race and could give one of the two quarterbacks a significant boost in the Heisman race.
