Just when you think CU is out of it — with injuries piling up and K-State dominating the line of scrimmage — none of it matters.

On a critical fourth-and-6 on the CU side of the field, Wildcats quarterback Avery Johnson had his pass tipped and it found the arms of Colton Hood, who returned it 51 yards into the red zone.

The Buffs scored two plays later on a pass from Shedeur Sanders to LaJohntay Wester. It was CU’s first lead since it led 7-0 in the first quarter.

The Buffs fall to 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in Big 12 play.
