Quentin Gibson’s Texas Glory Sparks Colorado Dreams

Quentin Gibson didn’t just catch footballs this season; he caught the attention of the nation. After leading North Crowley to its first Class 6A Division I state championship since 2003, Gibson is primed to bring his magic to Boulder and join Coach Prime’s Colorado Buffaloes.

A Record-Breaking Championship Performance

In the Texas state title game, Gibson proved why he’s one of the most electrifying wide receivers in high school football. With 181 yards and three touchdowns, Gibson tied the 6A record for touchdown receptions in a championship game. His performance helped North Crowley dominate Austin Westlake 50-21. From a 46-yard flea-flicker touchdown to a celebration-worthy score in the second quarter, Gibson was unstoppable. His 36 touchdowns on the season set a Dallas-area record and rank fourth all-time in Texas history.

A Key Player in North Crowley’s Perfect Season

Gibson wasn’t just a standout in the championship game—he was instrumental throughout North Crowley’s 16-0 season. The 5-foot-8 receiver consistently beat defenses with his speed, route-running, and sure hands, boosting his recruiting profile to 26 offers by season’s end. Alongside teammates like quarterback Chris Jimerson Jr., Gibson helped North Crowley rack up 640 total yards in the title game, the second most in UIL 6A D1 history.
