Boulder County fire crews plan a slash pile burn on Monday at Mud Lake near the Sherwood Gulch Trail north of Nederland, according to a press release. Fire crews will only conduct the burn if there is enough snow cover to ensure safe fire operations and containment, the release said. Crews do slash pile burns to reduce the amount of fuel from forestry operations.
