Anyone who wants to join the scavenger hunt should meet at the Big Blue Bear at the Colorado Convention Center on Friday at 4 p.m. There, hunters will receive their first clue directing them to a location in Denver.

There will still be another chance for sneakerheads to score a pair of the boots. On Saturday at the convention, the Navy will have a booth with five more ways people can earn the boots:

  • Pull-up competition (two winners, one male, one female)
  • Best camouflage or Navy-inspired outfit (two winners)
  • First to find a plainclothes SEAL at the event and retrieve an item from him (one winner)
  • First to take a selfie at a specific location off-site and return to the booth (one winner)
  • Fastest to pick a lock with limited tools (one winner)

Rear Admiral and Navy commander James Waters said that the sharp minds and relentless drive that fuels sneakerheads is what the agency looks for in future SEALs, and the event is a way to connect with those who push boundaries and have what it takes to take on something bigger than themselves…
