LOUISVILLE, Colo. (KDVR) — Survivors of the most destructive fire in Colorado’s history, the Marshall Fire, gathered Monday night at the Rocky Mountain Tap & Garden in Louisville to ask their elected officials to demand accountability from insurance companies.
The fire destroyed more than 1,000 homes and claimed the lives of two people.

Survivors shared personal stories, called for public action and wrote postcards urging elected officials to stand up to insurers.
Many are still fighting for payouts three years later.
