DENVER (KDVR) — A rail worker was hospitalized with serious injuries after train cars derailed in Denver overnight.
The Denver Fire Department said in a post on Facebook that crews responded to the BNSF rail yard after train cars derailed, trapping a worker.
Responding crews rescued the man, and he was taken to a hospital with severe injuries to his right leg, DFD said.
“Overnight, an employee was injured while performing work inside our Denver yard. He was taken to the hospital where he’s being treated for his injuries. For the sake of privacy, we are not releasing the name of the employee,” BNSF said in a statement on Tuesday…
