Cyclist in Critical Condition After Crash With Pickup Truck in Boulder

At around 9 a.m. on August 4, the Boulder Police Department posted on X to alert citizens to a road closure caused by an accident involving a vehicle and a cyclist. The area in which the crash took place was 24th Street and Edgewood Drive, near Folsom Street, and Edgewood was closed in both directions for an investigation to occur.

The initial investigation indicates that the cyclist was at fault, according to Boulder Police Department’s Public Information Officer Dionne Waugh.

“The adult male cyclist was transported to the hospital with serious bodily injury and is still in critical condition, Waugh said on August 5. “The adult male pickup truck driver stopped at the scene, was uninjured, and has been cooperating with officers.”…
