The city of Boulder says its making progress toward addressing homelessness, and several figures are on its side.
Data provided to council shows that the city issued 3,539 affordable housing vouchers in 2024, up from 161 in 2016. The number of permanent supportive housing units last year was 469, up from 41 in 2016, according to the city.
The winter and summer point-in-time counts, which are headcounts of the homeless population, show a decline. The January point-in-time count was 103 in 2024, down from 124 in in 2023. The July point in time count was 122 last year, down from 171 in 2023…
