DENVER (KDVR) — An alleged drug dealer has avoided going to trial by pleading guilty to multiple charges connected to a 2023 overdose death and distribution of illegal substances, according to Boulder officials.
Carlos Centeno-Izaguirre had been scheduled to go to trial on Aug. 18, but rather than face a jury of his peers, Centeno-Izaguirre pled guilty to all counts.

In September 2023, law enforcement discovered the body of Tyson Baker in his home in Boulder. At the same time, law enforcement was investigating Centeno-Izaguirre for selling large quantities of fentanyl throughout Boulder County.
A task force had coordinated controlled purchases of fentanyl from Centeno-Izaguirre, and ultimately seized thousands of fentanyl pills through the purchases. After Baker’s death, detectives analyzed electronic and DNA evidence and learned that Centeno-Izaguirre had sold Baker the fentanyl pill that ultimately killed him…
