Man receives 10-year sentence in U.S. 36-area shooting

A man received a 10-year prison sentence and five years of parole for his role in a shooting in the area of U.S. 36 last year, according to the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s office.

Rodolfo Piedra and two juveniles were arrested in October when police responded to the area of Northwest Parkway and U.S. 36 and found a man who had been grazed by a bullet, according to a news release from Broomfield Police. Although the victim was treated and released at the scene, police noted that his vehicle had been hit several times.
