Aircraft hoisted up, ‘handed’ back to owner after nosedive at Centennial Airport

DENVER (KDVR) — A small aircraft was “handed” back to its owner after it took a nosedive into the ground at the Centennial Airport on Friday morning.

Just before 9 a.m., the South Metro Fire Rescue said crews were responding to an “aircraft emergency” after there was a single-engine Biplane off runway 28. They said there was only one person on board who was unharmed.

The fire rescue said crews worked on a small fuel leak before the technical rescue team uprighted the plane and “handed it back it its owner.”…
