Boulder sheriff launches online reporting system for misdemeanor crimes

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office began an online service to allow residents to report petty crimes.

As of Aug. 18, residents can use the link at BoulderSheriff.gov to report non-emergencies and non-violent crimes that occur in unincorporated Boulder County, or the towns of Lyons, Nederland or Superior, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

Applicable crimes include misdemeanor or petty theft, fraud or identity theft, criminal mischief, third degree criminal trespass, trespass to a vehicle, lost or found property and similar incidents. The incidents do not require suspect information, the department said…
