In Denver, Colorado, a 26-year-old horse was found by her owner trapped in a mud pit in rural Boulder County on Thursday afternoon. Rescue crews were dispatched to help and a few hours later, the mare was pulled safely to solid ground.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call from the property owner reported his horse named “Sweetie” trapped in the mud. When the owner first tried to free the Warmblood, the owner became stuck. A neighbor responded to the call for help and alerted the sheriff’s office about the dangerous situation.
