The Boulder County commissioners agreed this week to review previously approved, staggered minimum wage increases that boost the minimum wage to $25 an hour by 2030 for unincorporated areas of the county.
Gloria Handyside, a spokesperson for the county commissioners, said in an email the direction given by the commissioners is to schedule a public hearing on minimum wage at the end of October. Commissioners discussed the possibility of freezing the minimum wage at its current 2025 rate for 2026 or aligning the county’s minimum wage with the city of Boulder’s rate, she wrote.
