A deadly crash involving an RTD bus closed all westbound lanes of I-70 in Denver for nearly three hours on Monday morning. According to Denver police, the crash happened between a vehicle and RTD bus 15L about 6:20 a.m. at Holly Street. All lanes reopened just after 9 a.m.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash as the bus was not in service. The bus driver did not report any injuries after the crash.
The driver of the vehicle died in the crash and was the sole occupant. That driver has not been identified.
Denver police told CBS Colorado that the preliminary investigation indicates the driver struck the rear end of the RTD bus.
