Moose falls off cliff onto road in Boulder Canyon

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — A bull moose fell off a cliff and onto the highway in Boulder Canyon on Monday, according to a Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson.

The moose fell around Mile Marker 32 on Highway 119, which is about a mile west of Boulder Falls near Doggy Dog Rock. It appeared to have broken its back legs and had difficulty standing or moving, CPW said.

While a CPW officer was en route to the scene, the agency advised Colorado State Patrol on euthanizing the moose due to its injuries and low chance of recovery…
